Kudos Web has recently designed and installed multiple interactive touch screens for Waterfront Auckland at the Karanga Plaza visitor centre, located within the new Wynyard Quarter development.
For those not familiar with Auckland, this is a huge infrastructure project involving the redevelopment of major areas of disused land (known as the Wynyard Quarter) on Auckland’s harbour front.
Essentially, these touch-screens serve as an interactive extension of the Waterfront Auckland website, with added games, videos, interviews, historical information and other engaging features. Indeed, the tactile experience provided by such technology has been hailed as a resounding success with all visitors, who have enjoyed direct contact with the screen content, menus and functions.
In a broader context, touch-screens provide fast access to any and all types of digital media, with no text interface getting in the way. Faster input can mean better customer service in information centres, restaurants, hotels, exhibitions, and retail stores, which results in increased customer loyalty.
